woohoo! i'm here! after a ten-hour-butt-aching bus ride, i'm finally in the famous big apple! but it was okay. slept the whole way thru altho i had to wake up for immigration checks and all that. reached NY around 10am, 25th december. first impression? NY is a concrete jungle! everywhere u look u see buildings...buildings..and MORE buildings. and mind me are they REALLLY sky scrapers. i expected x'mas decors on the streets but there weren't many. thinking of which..i dont think i saw any! even in toronto..there wasn't any "wow-like" decoration. even s'pore had way nicer decorations than these two cities. ironic isn't it? nontheless i'm having a great time! hard to believe that it has already been about 2 weeks away from home. time really flies!! how many of us already know that..yet again it's being said over and over again :)altho NY doesnt have x'mas decorations, timesquare is really awesome!! i guess because it's the heart of town. the lightings are all so pretty! and big huge television screens screening adverts!! the weather was horrible though. it kept drizzling the whole day. a wet christmas i would call it. so couldn't do much today and shops were all close.was looking forward to at least catch a glimpse of the oh-so-famous statue of liberty but all i saw was BUILDINGS. i felt as if i was like in legoland or something. haha. and because of the crazy weather...didn't do much today. so there's a lil update on my holiday and merry belated christmas to u guys back there! :) *muackxx*ps: i went snowboarding instead of skiing and i'll update bout it later with pics! so much to say but i'll keep it to later :)

i'm now in a computer lab in my sis uni. it's so scary! theres no one here...and the hallway is empty..*obviously* cause its 8 pm. she's sitting for an exam in another building block. god bless her! i came all the way down just to teman her for 2 hrs. why do i even let her do this to me!! i'm nice so i shan't complain :) altho' it's not bad being here though. the connection is like phwoar!!!! crazy fast, u can't imagine. so what has joyce been doing these few days in Canada? you ask. and you wouldnt guess it..so let me spill the beans. playing neopets!! for three days now. haha. it's so fun!! the games just gets you hooked and i've even made my sister hooked to neopets! ahaks! and she said neopets was dumb. of course i hadn't been only playing neopets! tht WOULD be dumb. we went for another movie marathon. a sneaky one of course...watched 3 movies for just 1 ticket. all REALLLY long movies. first was king kong..then harry potter...and MEMOIRS of a geisha!! whee..i know it's not gonna be out in m'sia until jan so i'm glad i've watched it! whereas you guys..have fun waiting :) ok ok..i'm being an ass..you noe i didnt mean tht. we were watching the movies from 4 till 1! craziness...was quite tiring. apparently harry potter was censored in m'sia but when i watched it again here...it was exactly the same thing!! what a waste of time. but still...i was mainly wanting to watch king kong and the memoirs so yep...had to watch hp. king kong was SOOO good!! at first i didn't wanna watch it..but when i saw tht the director was Peter Jackson..i SOOOOO had to watch it. obviously..cause the trilogy of LOTR was superb! altho king kong was 3 hrs..some might say it's draggy but i thought every second of it was brilliant! not even a boring moment. and for the record..no..i'm not exagerrating :)the memoirs was alrite. i found it quite slow but nevertheless great. perhaps a bit overrated. but still good. i don't know. you watch..and u tell me! i still have an hour left before my sis finishes her exam. i'm gonna get back to playing neopets now :) tomorrow's agenda? skiing or snowboarding! whee! so excited eventho i know i'm gonna get really bruised :) bye! *muackxx*

this post has nothing to do with watermelons. it's just the colour silly! :) anyway.. i thought narnia was the BOMB!! it was sooo good!! i was practically staring at the cinema screen the whole while not wanting to move my head an inch. haven't watched a movie with that much attention span before. it was REALY good. everything was just fantastic and it felt real like as if it wasn't only a fairy-tale. gogogo watch it! totally recommended by someone who normally takes lil naps during movies a.k.a me :)i watched another show after narnia. me and my sis snuck into the other cinemas. well.the ticket was 12 cad! multiply that by 3.3 and you get thirty odd ringgit. imagine gold-class!! gah! so we had to watch at LEAST 2 movies.. hehe. the next show was "Walk the Line" which i doubt you guys heard of it. it stars Reese Witherspoon and it's about a biography on Johnny Cash which i did not know who it was until the movie was over. he's some singer during the Elvis era. the movie was quite good and i was interested only because there was Reese witherspoon..so yep..she kept me watching. heh. later, we wanted to sneak into the Harry potter cinema cause my sister hasn't watched it and i wanna watch it again cause apparently it was censored. why on earth would anyone want to censor HP?!? *nutheads* we didn't have any luck though cause there wasn't any more shows to watch during that time so we went home. was quite satisfying though..two movies..what do you think? :)
on another note yesterday we went book-shopping! ahha. yep..the books there were on cut-down prices and they were really good deals! we got the harry potter and the half blood prince for only 24 cad! tht's 80 ringgit! i hope MPH is not having a huge sale now..or not 24 cad wouldn't seem like a good deal after all. hehe. anyways that's bout it. i have to walk downtown by myself later cause my sis just left for her exam. an hour walk! but it's okay kinda gotten used to it already..i've walked there and back b4. trust me when it's winter you can hardly feel ur legs! so an hour walk is really nothing altho when u get back u feel the aches and pain. i hope my sis doesn't read this otherwise i would be walking everywhere from now on *grrrrr* she's evil alrite
ps : my nose still bleeds everyday. i reckon i've lost a lot of blood :( pps: i hope i didn't kill your liking for watermelons cause the colours didn't turn out the way i imagined it would. my bad. *peace* heheand for the love of God i'm out! :) *muackxx*

it's so dry here! compared to the humidity in m'sia. my nose bled for 3 consecutive days! and it bled at 3 am last nite. the blood just practically ran down my nose. its so ik-ky. anyways..just had the urge to blog. whee! so i've been here for about 4 days now and it's great! i love it when i wake up in the morning and peek out the window n everything is superbly white, covered with snow! such a beauuutiful sight! and it happens everyday! >< well let' see..two days' ago, my sis and i decided to go downtown. she didn't wanna take the subway. so we walked..and it's not a normal walk k..it was an hour plus walk just to get there! nevertheless for shopping every girl would :) so yes we walked and as we were nearby we stopped at Amato. a pizza place! the pizza there was so yummie!! never knew pizzas could taste THAT good. it isn't the best best i'm sure but compared to m'sia? u get the picture :) anyway after eating i felt so good and was ready to walk again. unfortch..when we reached Eaton Centre (a shopping mall) i was too tired to shop!! argh..all the way there and the interest was gone down the drain. but well i did do a lil window shopping.yesterday we walked down the streets to get a carrot cake. delicious! on the way down it was snowing and it was my first time tht i realise snowflakes are so pretty!! they came down in really nice shapes. those snowflakes like the ones we always see in cartoon pics and all. i thought they were just imaginary shapes but no!! it was real!! it does snow in those kinda shapes!! whee!! im so stupid to have not known this earlier :) forgive me for my ignorance..but it's amAzing! haha i wanted to get a picture of them but they melt really fast. snow-duh! ahaha oh well..better luck next time. i'm sure there's more to come. haha. okie tht's bout it. i took a few pics but i havent uploaded them yet. will do soon. much love from across the world :)

do not bid me farewell just yet..it's actually for the 1 ringgit coins! :) yeap. bye bye to those heavy dirty gold look-a-like coins. i had the perfect sleep last night. basically because i had a realllllly long and deep one. woke up at 1.45pm :) it's been a long time since i had a nice sleep. i'm pretty sure i wouldn't be able to sleep tonight though..prolly be too excited or..be too busy tryin to think what would happen tomorrow. by the way i actually miss blogging in xanga because here i can't put any nice smileys!! :( makes my blog so dull..but oh well. alrite this is weird but i've ran out of words to say. my phone has roaming so if theres an emergency or anything..just give me a beep! :) a msg will do. i don't think i'll be picking up any calls cause it's overpriced!! hehe.. and for now...so long! farewell to me. tahz! *muackxxx*

just one more day..and i would be gone for a month! at first it didn't occur to me..one month? *alrite it's JUST one month * tht's what i thought. but now it's starting to spring to me...A MONTH across the world??? phwoar..what was i thinking?! sure u'll be thinking it's great fun..but only time will tell. plus it's gonna be Freezing!! a month..it's like wow.. sorry. i'm just freaking out. *what if* i feel so alone in the 20-odd hrs journey on the plane? *what if* i get so sick of the weather there and i wish i could come back here? *what if*what if*what if* there are just too many. plus the fact tht i'm gonna miss my LAST first day of school isn't helping either. i just feel so LOW..u knoe?? i think it's PMS. lolwell...what can i say? i'll only know once i get there..and i really hope i do get there eventually.. cause for those of you who r still wondering? yes i'm flying to canada alone. and i mean ALONE alone. and i've never done this before. the best i've done travelling abroad alone was when i took a bus down to Singapore..that was a bus..and it was singapore..just 5 hours. no biggie.
i've started packing my stuff of course..just a few more things which i'm still thinking hard how i'm gonna fit it in my luggage. oh on another note..i watched harry potter yesterday! finally. haha. it was fun! but a tad bit jumpy altho for someone who had never read any of the HP books a.k.a me :) the movie was understandable although it was jumpy..
what i really regret is not maximising my holiday period. i wish i could start off november again..and put all the time i have to FULL use. i just never learn from mistakes you knoe? it's irritating..really :)
hmm..my new year's resolution? definitely to try resolute my abandoned previous yr's resolutions. tht is..to NOT procrastinate. i'll see how far i can go with that :) for now..i guess this is my last goodbye and i'll see you back in a month! can't wait!

whee! yep..joyce has her new phone :) (same number) my brother brought it back for me yesterday..i love my brother! tht's wat family is for..and yes i'm pampered. so what? :) yay..check it out :)
i think its totally fabulous! what do YOU think? lol. okay enough bout the phone. another three more days in malaysia and i'd be off to Canada! anyway...i downloaded another korean drama called Phoenix. i watched the first episode and it seems interesting..but the downside is tht from episode 2 onwards..there are no subs! so does anyone happen to have this series? care to lend it to me? pretty please? lol. yes i'm a korean drama addict. it's fun! but can be really draggy and sappy. but heck..i still love wasting my time on it :)the past few days, i've been watching tv..online-ing...buying stuff for my sis in Canada and pretty much doing the usual. nothing much to blog about. i'm gonna watch harry potter tomorrow! haha. yes i know all of you have watched it..but better late than never! :) fyi people, i've never read any of the HP books. yep big surprise..but i'm not really into reading books although sometimes i do read. i'm more into visual stuff..like..KORean Drama's and soapS! yea. haha. i guess this is pretty much it for today. have fun and have a good day y'all :) * muackxx*
